The challenge
Make the hard part usable.
Walmart's plant program had to coordinate thousands of field users visiting stores, completing location-specific care and merchandising tasks, documenting plant condition, and reporting progress while connectivity varied throughout the workday.
What we delivered
Product and system, together.
We designed and engineered the separate TAP Merchandising product from scratch: native iOS and Android apps, the management web application, database and API layers, offline synchronization, GPS and location-aware tasks, barcode workflows, photos and reporting, EDI and retail integrations, routing and logistics, deployment, and ongoing support. SBI owned the product and Walmart licensed it per user.
What it proves
Production work with consequences.
- Reached 10,000 active users across the merchandising operation
- Put native iOS and Android field work, live GPS, cloud synchronization, and offline operation into one dependable product
- Connected store visits, plant-care work, photos, compliance tasks, and buyer reporting
- Integrated field data with Walmart's systems while giving SBI a commercial per-user software product
